Land & Sea // Artist Floral Retreat
Join Karis and Jesse (of Jesse Flo Real) for a coastal artist retreat designed for florists craving a summer get away full of creativity but also rest. Who want to work with landscape, movement, and form with both seasonal, locally grown flowers but also natural material foraged right from the land.
Over four days, we’ll create floral sculptures, study design through the lens of the environment, and make space for you to dive into your deepest artist self. Bring any other mediums you wish to work in- this is a residency-style experience centered on expanding your artistic voice but of course, we will provide all the flowers!
There are two options for participants: staying on site with meals provided, or traveling to the host-house each day.
For those staying on the property: all meals and drinks will be provided during the entire experience. Arrival is Aug 25th, with departure Aug 29th.
For those staying elsewhere: we will host you for a shared meal on the the 28th to celebrate the workshop. Otherwise, only lunch will be provided to you. You will have access to the studio / on-site Aug 25th (optional day, no design happening this date) to Aug 28th.
Our lovely Sea Ranch style home in Point Arena sits on 80 acres of quiet land just miles from the seaside. You'll enjoy a rustic cedar farmhouse with large open kitchen, wood-burning stove, design library, backyard fire-pit, outdoor shower/bath, and your own private pond with canoe. Jesse & I visited this house back in 2023 and we fell in love with the place. It’s truly an artist’s dream.
Sea Ranch (or Point Arena specifically) is remote and a distance from the San Francisco airport, so we encourage renting a car or carpooling; we’ll share attendee contact details so you can coordinate travel with others.
If you are staying off-site, you will be required to provide your own transportation to the host house each day.
